CITIES INTRODUCTION - Guangzhou

Guangzhou is an unforgettable city that blends perfectly the tradition with modernism. The Zhujiang New Town offers a glimpse of the city's modernisation; the Lao Xiguan embraces the traditional Lingnan style. More, the cuisine in the world's famous dining city is a must-try priority.

Crowned with the title Millennium Commercial City, Guangzhou's development is comprehensive and robust. The city is stepping up efforts to become an international metropolis. It designated its advanced manufacturing industries and pillar industries of automobiles, electronics, and petrochemicals to drive economic growth. It also reinforces its positions as an international trade centre, comprehensive transportation hub, as well as science, technology, education, and cultural centre by aligning the city's systems and regulations with Hong Kong and Macao.

The Guangzhou government is undertaking all kinds of support to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among young people from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. For example, the government launched the  Implementation Measures to Support the Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Hong Kong and Macao Youths in July 2019. It also established multiple youth innovation and entrepreneurship bases, including the Haizhu-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Startup Centre and the Tianhe-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Support Centre.
