"GBA Mysterious Attraction" Recommendation Competition

Other than travelling abroad during holidays, it is also very convenient to travel around the Greater Bay Area now. There are countless new attractions, cultural monuments and natural scenery in each city waiting for you to explore.

New YO PLACE members now can join our competition and submit introduction of an astonishing GBA spot, 10 participants come up with the most distinctive attractions will each receive a HK$1,000 award for you to start your trip in the GBA. Participate now and share with us your favourite one!

Eligibility 

Only Hong Kong residents aged between 11 and 45 who newly registered as YO PLACE members from 22 May to 18 June, 2023 are eligible 

Format for Entry of Proposed Attraction  

Participants must introduce a distinctive attraction in the Greater Bay Area in the form of original text/image, and the specifications are as follows:

  • Text: Chinese or English, within 200 words
  • Image format: JPEG or PNG within 5MB. If any online image is used, image owner 's consent must be obtained and the image source must be indicated
  • The introduction can include both text and image
  • The attraction must be in the Greater Bay Area, namely Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen or Zhaoqing

Judging Criteria 

  • Distinctiveness of the attraction 
  • Creativity of the introduction

Competition Terms and Rules
  1. The competition opens at 10am on 22 May 2023 (Hong Kong time) and closes at 11:59 pm on 18 June 2023 (Hong Kong time).
  2. Eligible participants must newly register as YO PLACE members and download and log in the YO PLACE app within the competition period. YO PLACE Friends are not eligible.
  3. Participants aged under 16 are required to fill in and upload a consent letter of parent when registering as a YO PLACE member for approval from YO PLACE within three working days. Member registration will be completed only after approval. Please reserve enough time to register as a new member and for approval.
  4. Each person can only register as a YO PLACE member once. Each member can only participate once. Duplicate member registrations or competition participations by the same person will be disqualified.
  5. YO PLACE reserves the right to disqualify participants without prior notice if it is found or suspected that the registered personal information is incorrect.
  6. The information of eligible participating members collected during the competition registration period will be automatically updated and stored by the system.
  7. YO PLACE shall not be responsible for any delay, loss, error, unrecognisable information submitted by members due to any technical problems such as network issue.
  8. The text and images submitted for the competition must be the original works of the participants and have all copyrights. If any online image is used, image owner 's consent must be obtained and the image source must be indicated. Participants are required to comply with the relevant copyright laws. If the participants infringe the copyright or other related crimes, including but not limited to the submission, reprinting, copying and counterfeiting of the competition, their qualifications will be cancelled. Participants should be responsible for their own legal responsibility, and YO PLACE does not take any responsibility for any legal disputes.
  9. Anyone who participates in this competition is equivalent to authorising the organiser to use, display, publish the summitted entry under any circumstances without asking for the consent of the participants and paying additional fees.
  10. Winners will be notified individually. If winners cannot be notified about collecting the prize due to any false, incomplete or incorrect information provided, YO PLACE will not be held liable and/or provide any compensation. Winners are required to redeem the prize in person according to the instructions provided by YO PLACE at YO PLACE (16/F, 9 Des Voeux Road West, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong). Winners are required to prove his/her eligibility to YO PLACE by presenting his/her original Hong Kong Identity Card and YO PLACE App’s electronic membership card. If the winners fail to redeem the prize by the designated deadline, and/or fails to prove his/her eligibility and/or present the required documents, YO PLACE reserves the right to disqualify him/her. The prize will be allocated to the next winner.
  11. The awards will be distributed to winners in the form of cheque. No winner is entitled to any alternative gift in substitution of his/her prize. Winners are not allowed to transfer their eligibility to receive prizes.
  12. Employees of the organiser and their family members are not allowed to participate in this competition.
  13. Competition results are subject to the final decision of YO PLACE. Participants are not allowed to object to the results, and there is no appeal mechanism.
  14. YO PLACE reserves the right to change the terms and conditions and any part of this programme, cancel and/or terminate this programme at any time without prior notice.
